    • We are closely monitoring the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19). The health and safety of our kids are our top priority. We want you to know that we continue to closely monitor the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) situation as news about it changes daily.

Atlanta-based Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) says at this time, most people in the United States will have little immediate risk of exposure to this virus. However, everyone should take proactive preparedness precautions and follow any guidance offered by the CDC and local and state public health authorities.

At this time, we are postponing ALL recreation department activities until Monday, April 6th including but not limited to baseball, softball, track & field, soccer, all activities in and at recreation department facilities, all programming and events such as Egg Drop, Princesses and Pirates, Special Olympics, Senior Bingo, Stubbs Park After School Program, etc.

We will re-evaluate the situation before rescheduling missed games. PLEASE WATCH THE DLCRA WEBSITE FOR UPDATES at www.dlcra.org.

Thank you for your patience and trust in DLCRA. We are prepared to navigate through these challenging circumstances with your safety at the forefront while preparing for future DLCRA programming and events.

If anything changes in our assessment, we will communicate this.

      CDC General Precautions:

Park and recreation professionals, as well as volunteers, also need to prioritize their own health and well-being during this outbreak. It’s important to practice proper hygiene, including following the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) recommendations:

PLEASE share these recommendations with your children, family, friends, co-workers, and the public to raise awareness and encourage the adoption of these practices at work and at home.

      In Preparedness,

      DLCRA Board of Directors

      • Avoid close contact with people who are sick
