Updates regarding recreation activities will be posted & dated below!
May 19, 2020 UPDATE
Dublin-Laurens County Recreation Authority Board on Monday, May 18th with careful consideration of the safety of our community and kids, has decided to cancel the already postponed spring baseball & softball season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. At this time, the Recreation Authority will be placing a $20.00 credit on your child’s account to be used on any sport or camp. This credit will be issued to players in our league because of the uniforms and games that have been played. Camps will be provided this summer for individual age groups. The camps will be four or five days and provide a great value for your child’s growth in these sports. We will web blast out camp dates as soon as possible. Thank you for your continued support of Dublin-Laurens County Recreation Authority.

BASEBALL & SOFTBALL:
Dixie youth & GRPA has canceled their World Series, state, and district tournaments for baseball and softball.
DLCRA is waiting to see what the state and local government officials will allow us to do as far as finishing the season.
As a department we are hoping to finish the season, if not we are coming up with solutions to get the kids back on the field this summer.
The recreation authority is looking into providing camps for kids who played in our baseball & softball programs this spring. We will post more about these opportunities in the near future.
Be safe & stay healthy, our major concern is always the safety of our community and kids.
*THIS INCLUDES ADULT SOFTBALL*
The Dublin-Laurens County Recreation Authority has made the difficult decision to cancel spring soccer for this year.
A credit will be added to your account which will be redeemable for any fall sport- including fall soccer, football, etc.
We have been making efforts to contact every parent by phone this week, as well as reaching out to coaches to assist in spreading this information.
TRACK & FIELD:
We have made the difficult decision to cancel track & field for the year.
We have attempted to make contact with all parents and guardians this week, and have left voicemails.
All registration fees have been turned into a department credit which is good towards any future sport.
